We were on the road for 2'115 days (5y 9m 20d)

Exploring the world – true to this motto we started in 2003. We travelled by tandem through parts of Africa and South America, the Middle East, Central Asia and via China/Nepal to Southeast and East Asia and finally Ocenania. After stopovers in Switzerland (2006) and Singapore (2008) we are again taking a break on this small busy island at the equator and are looking forward to your visit!
Route

During the past years we got the chance to get to know kindhearted people, to cycle through lonely and breathtaking landscapes at temperatures ranging from minus 25 to plus 50 degrees, to visit busy cities and remote villages, to pedal over mountain passes and endless deserts, from 420m below to 5,897m above sea level, to travel by boat, bus, train, yacht, lorry, motorcycle, horse and on foot, wandering, wondering, exploring, admiring. In short, we could – and still can – enjoy our lives as globetrotters, travellers and guests of foreign countries, people and cultures. All this we would love to share with you on these few pages. We are pleased that you are taking part in our journey!

whereever, couldnt find uk - how the devil are you ? yes we received both/ all your e mails and apologies for failing to respond, a series of delays made it impossible to reply and that is no excuse!!!
i guess you have seen our website has been dismally updated basically since galapagos, although a little on colombia, however, we intend to do a little work on this in the near future.
remember we popped home for an august wedding well, we went there and did that and rather disappointed that we cut our own round the world ticket short as i think we told you when we met in san pedro.
we are presently in india for the winter and this minute in leh ladakh, which is a fine place, just a little worried about the people out here finding themselves, and the beds are unbelievably hard as well as pillows, these are real issues, since we inted to be here til the 29th. suffered 5 days of alt sickness but now recovered and been meaning to write for weeks. we have not cycled here and didnt cycle after galapagos, although we enjoyed colombia and would go back although the armed guards all about bogota are a bit scarey, say the least. we were just in transit in venezuela and madrid only. we have got our bikes here and intend to cycle in dehra dun area by the corbett nat park , where we hope to see bengal tigers!
but hey how are you both going on, your pics show you are getting wonderful tans and like you my hair has been chopped now 2 inches, poss 1 cm in the near future, fantastic.
how bro's leg/knee, i fell on mine in uk when back and have still problems, henmce we are holding back on cycling although with all these fine treckking people around we almost feel compelled to move out of the bar and go and do one!!!!!!
very best wishes to you both, looking forward to hear your progress. we hope you are still happy travellers, as we are.
